Calculating Poker Odds
Every game has some rules to play and also the way of judging according to scores which one is winning. Similar to this in Poker rules, the number of chances to hit a winning hand is said as odds of poker. There are standard fifty-two cards in deck. These cards are divided as such that each player at the table gets two cards known as hole cards and only the player knows about them and from the other remaining cards there must be five at a time at table to play, that’s how the game proceeds. The odds are basically strength of a pair that you are carrying in your hand. The calculation depends on the likelihood or say percentage the pair will come out as a winning hand against other player’s cards.
For this you have to know how to count for odds, for example; you need a queen at river round so you must know how to calculate a percentage of its likelihood. Or you need 7 of spades to make flush, all this depends on odds calculation.
This procedure contains two things that you should know while calculating odds. One is you must know how many cards are remaining in deck which are called “Outs”. So, if there are 3 hearts you possess and the total is 13 then how many remain in the deck? They are 13-3= 10 cards are currently on deck. In Holdem the probability of a card is judged by number of cards that are left (outs) in game multiply by two +1 where only when card is left to come. So if there are 7 cards left, the percentage will be 7multiply by 2+1 comes to 15% chance that this will be a next card. Similarly you can calculate any given scenario, if 4 left probability will be 4*2+1= 9% It is a good way to know where you stand at the game, what is the strength of your pair either, it is capable of wining table or not.
You can also convert the cards percentages in to winning percentage or loosing percentage as for your knowledge 2 to 7 odds will be converted as 2/ (2+7) = 22% you must be good at this so at pressure during the game you can calculate such figures.
