Texas Hold’em

This game is commonly known as Holdem and Hold’em and it is the most popular and most played Poker game in the world. It is most popular game in the virtual world i-e internet as well and number of online video poker playing websites is opening every day all over the world. The game is played with cards which are shared by the players. The game is simple, every player is allotted 3 cards at the start (2 of which face downwards) 5 community cards are placed at the center of table. The game has two categories, one is called “limit” and other is called “no limit”. The former is called pot limit as well. The betting starts with three cards allotted to all the players. One more card is allotted to all the players in the next round. The River card which is the last remaining community card is distributed after one more round of betting. At the end of the final round, the player having best 5 cards, takes the pot.

The cards are distributed randomly and players do not have control over the distribution. The players try to control the ante gathered in the pot with strength of their poker hands. Players in the game have to anticipate a little about which cards are coming and which one do they need to complete the best Poker hand.

Omaha Hold’em

It is a variation of Hold’em. This is very popular among Poker players and it resembles with Texas Hold’em. The rules of this variation are a bit different than Hold’em but the way community cards are laid is identical, there is an exception though, every player is allotted 4 hole cards in Omaha whereas only 2 hole cards are allotted to players in Hold’em.

Community cards are same in number as in Hold’em i-e 5. The rules of making a Poker hand are a bit different. Players have 2 use 2 hole cards from the 4 which were first allotted in the Poker. The rest of the 3 are gathered from community or shared cards. The players have wider options and cards available in Omaha which help them in making a best Poker hand.
