How to Play Texas Holdem: Rules
Here we present you the Texas Holdem rules, and we also invite you to read online baccarat rules to get the full idea of how to play this game and how different is from poker.
There are many forms of poker, straight, stud poker, and draw back etc. The most popular form among players is Texas hold’em or known as flop/ community poker. The origin of the poker is not really known but few people say it resembles like game of “Nas” in Persia. However, it has got popular no doubt in that. One reason could be that Poker events are organized on international level and are highlighted by media as well. Few people think how so many people could watch the game at once,
this was gifted by the idea of table cameras in which you can spot every detail of the game. And do not have the need to go to the playing place itself when you could watch it in a relaxing position at your sofa at home.
The start of the Holdem is like there are total of seven cards dealt, two of them are in players hand known as hole cards and only the player knows about them and the other five cards are placed on the table that could be seen by all. Now the player has to decide how to make best possible hand from taking cards from the table and placing them with the two in his hand. It is strategy built by the player in his mind, how to make best hand.
There is a same method of ranking hands in all forms of poker with some exceptions. Maximum of ten players can play at a table with a fifty two card deck. In a standard game, if there is no dealer involved, any player is awarded this option which will play his hand at the end of all which gives him an extra opportunity as he has seen the hands of all players.
However this opportunity is rotated after every move to other players clockwise so no single player gets advantage and there will be a fair play. Another very important thing is player having the smallest card is forced to make a bet in the first round which is known as “forced bet”.
The procedure of playing is as follows:
Each player is given two cards which face downwards; this is first flop then a round to place bets in Texas Holdem, after that third community card is allotted to all the active players and there is again a round of betting. Fourth community card is allotted to active players at the end of this round. River card is allotted in the final round which is the last community card.
The forced bet comes as the two players sitting on left of the dealer/player named as dealer, place their bets before seeing their cards when they are first given to them. If the first player places a small bet it will be called as (small blind) as compared to the second player whose bet will be called as (Big blind) or big bet as compared to the first one. Now the players are given two cards which face downwards known as pre-flop, afterwords there are five rounds of betting and players show cards one by one in each round.
After the end of this first round flop is dealt. These are the first three out of five community cards that are dealt. If there is a chance for you to make a hand you might have known already and it will be up to you if you want to let the game begin. It will largely depend on you, if you are going to make a winning hand included with the amount you have placed on the bet (upon which you will give a call).
It shows you have already decided your hand. To get an impression of individuality you could place the cards in a sequence that it is read like two A’s with a ten. It all depend on making your competitor think you possess those cards which in reality you do not and letting them place their bet without even sensing that they have already lost it.
After this round the next bet starts when players have total of five cards they can play with, two in hand and three on table. As they place their bet, the card on table is turned which is the fourth community card. Here goes another round of betting with two cards in hand and total of four community cards. The placed card is now shown and last round of bet starts.
Still active players in game show their cards and the one with most accurate pair wins the game.
You can turn your cards anytime during the play but you are not allowed to start betting before you give any big bet or small bets which are considered to be as necessary bets. It means you can sit their quietly till the best pair of cards is not in your hand and save your bet. But it’s not all well as you have to give chips as blinds and if you constantly remain sitting without placing any bet, it will ultimately make you loose all in blinds. This rule is followed in most of the officially organized games; you should make sure that you know how to deal with this. As it is truly your mind game and you need to place compulsory bets of what amount you want. The key to the game is not to get influenced by tough calls. You must look for the fall if the call is not of that big amount.
There are large profits in this game if you know how to play with the mind of a player. Poker will be easy if you master the tricks of Hold’em, know-how alone will not mean much. You must however, get yourself familiar with the official rules of the game which can be found in any Texas Hold’em starter’s guide.
